Introducing Davenport Chiropractor Dr. Dan Hoover

Wow! It was a miracle! When my parents brought me home from the hospital I was only able to turn my head to one side. In just one adjustment I was able to turn my head from side to side.

I grew up with chiropractic care and I knew that I wanted to help people. Becoming a chiropractor was a natural choice to combine the two. I love seeing miracles as people start getting better without drugs or the risk of surgery. Our motto is "Where life changes can start to happen!"

I began my pre-chiropractic education at Palmer Junior College where I received my Associates is Science Degree. After completing my study there I was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During my four years at Palmer, my courses included biochemistry, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic. I graduated in 1979 and established my practice in Davenport. I continue to update my education and knowledge by attending seminars and classes to enhance the care of my patients.

We love to see how the patient changes over the course of treatment. Sometimes we are their last resort or they have been told that they will just have to live with it. Everyone is usually a little nervous about visiting the chiropractor for the first time. We try to make it as relaxing as possible by answering questions and making them feel like one of our family.

Dr. Hoover is married to his high school sweetheart, Shirley and they have three grown children. Dr. Hoover enjoys hunting, fishing and drag racing. In his spare time he also enjoys restoring collector cars. He is actively in involved in his church Calvary of the Quad Cities.

Dr. Dan Asks some important questions of interest to Davenport residents - Chiropractor Davenport Dr. Dan Asks...

Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Davenport parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
